The most ordinary of spaces, once brought to life with its first beam of light, can assume a relentless richness, a soul, through a unique palette of colours, tones, textures. Whether faintly lit or basking in sunlight, shadows are created that communicate different levels of intimacy and depth, and the space becomes densely atmospheric.

Each painting gives an impression of a room, a space or a surface, that is made unique by how it receives and renders light.
